Thank you to everyone who attended the 2018 Life Chain! Information on the 2019 Life Chain will be posted closer to the date. The Life Chain is usually held on the first Sunday of October.
What is Life Chain?
Life Chain is a powerful witness of the pro-life message not only in our city, but throughout Canada and the US. Now in its 29th year, the annual event invites people of faith across North America to pray and witness on behalf of our voiceless fellow citizens - pre-born children who are imperiled by abortion.
At each location, participants hold signs with powerful and thought-provoking "Life" messages: Adoption, the Loving Option, Abortion Kills Children and Abortion Harms Women, as well as signs with pregnancy help information and messages of forgiveness for those who have had an abortion.
By lining the sidewalk with these message for all to see, we are bringing the pro-life message to many people who might not otherwise hear it. We are standing up for the unborn with a visible, peaceful message of truth and hope.
Most importantly, the hour is devoted to prayer to end abortion.
If you have never participated in a Life Chain before, we encourage you to join us! Those who are not able to stand for the duration of the Life Chain are encouraged to bring folding chairs. Signs will be provided. Please make it a priority to join us as we spend a prayerful hour bringing the pro-life message to our community.
