When & Where
Sunday, January 28, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
In front of Guelph City Hall, 1 Carden St, Guelph.
Join us for a 'Light Chain' to shine a light on the impact of abortion, and remember lives lost. For many years, we have organized a prayer vigil to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that struck down the abortion law. (The 'Supreme Court Prayer Vigil.)
This year, along with several groups across the province, we'll be hosting a Light Chain, focusing on the fact that over 3,700,000 lives have been lost from abortion in Canada. For an hour, we will display the number of abortions in large, illuminated cutouts, to spread awareness in our community.
On January 28, 1988, the Supreme Court struck down Canada's abortion law, leaving no protection for unborn children.
Since that time, abortion on demand has been legal during all nine months of pregnancy.
