Meet the Team

Joe Montague
Program Manager
Joe Montague has served as a pastor for over 20 years. He is the kids and youth pastor at River of Life International Fellowship in Guelph. He holds a Bachelor of Ministry and is currently working on his Masters of Theology. Joe has been involved in the pro-life movement in many different aspects over the past 20 years. He joined the staff at GARTL in 2022 and currently serves as the program manager. Joe is married to Vanessa Montague.

Emmanuel Ilesanmi
Administrative Assistant
Emmanuel Ilesanmi currently serves as the Office Administrator, where he manages key tasks to ensure smooth operations. He is deeply passionate about pro-life and dedicated to helping others, which drives his commitment to contributing to humanity’s well-being. This passion has led him to devote his skills and talents full-time to the pro-life cause. As a final-year student at Conestoga College, he is completing his studies in the General Arts and Science program, while also focusing on enhancing office efficiency and contributing to meaningful projects aligned with his values.

Therese Joseph
Communications Coordinator
Therese Joseph is a third-year student at the University of Guelph, majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience. Therese has been deeply passionate about the pro-life movement since childhood, as her early involvement in her church's pro-life group laid the foundation for her commitment to the cause. Upon starting university, Therese recognized a significant need for pro-life education, particularly among her peers. She believes empathy and compassion are key to changing hearts and minds, serving as a voice for the voiceless.

Vanessa Montague
Sanctuary Outreach Program Coordinator
As the current coordinator for GARTL’s Sanctuary Outreach Pregnancy Support Program, Vanessa assists women who are pregnant and facing challenging situations. Through Sanctuary Outreach, Vanessa provides a space of understanding, compassion, and resources. She is a psychology graduate from the University of Guelph and is married to Joe Montague.

Anna Koechl
Sanctuary Outreach Program Assistant
Anna Koechl is a second-year Arts student at the University of Guelph, studying Philosophy and Geography. Her passion for the pro-life movement began at a young age, and grew stronger through her participation in Life Chain and 40 Days for Life. Anna’s involvement in the pro-life movement is rooted in compassion for those facing difficult circumstances. The message of the pro-life movement is about protecting the preborn, educating the public, pregnancy support, and compassionate care for the chronically ill, those living with disability and the dying, while advocating for a culture that cherishes and supports every human life from his/her biological beginnings until death.
